Kevin and Chris would feud with each other through out the rest of the year. Each one vowing to send the other back to the hospital. Chris and Gino started to team up more frequently and in the end that caused friction between Chris and Gary Hart. In the end Chris would fire Gary Hart and he and Gino would form the tag team The Dynamic Duo. Enraged Gary would try and take his revenge, but Gino and Chris would manage to avoid Gary’s revenge.

The feud continued with Gino and Chris going after the Von Erichs and their friends.

At the second "David Von Erich memorial Parade of Champions". Chris Adam and Gino Hernandez were part of a Twelve-man $100,000 tag team match. 3 out of 5 falls with the winner of the last fall receiving a new car. Their partners were Rip Oliver, Kamala, Dr. Death and The One Man Gang. On the opposite side was the unlikely team of the Von Erichs, Kevin, Kerry and Mike and the Fabulous Freebirds, Michael Hayes, Terry Gordy and Buddy Roberts. In the end the Von Erich/Freebirds team would win with Kevin getting the final fall thus winning the new car. As the Von Erichs were celebrating their win. Gary Hart incensed that his team lost. Told the One man Gang to take his chain and destroy the car. As the One Man Gang walked up to the car preparing to smash the car with his chain a body block by Mike, stopped him in his tracks. His way to the car blocked by the Von Erichs and with David Mannering ordering him to the back the One Man Gang retreated. David Mannering took the chain from him, and was walking back to the locker rooms when Gino and Chris snuck up behind him and stole the chain and ran to the car. While Gino swung the chain and smashed the windshield, Chris jumped up to hood and started to add to the damage. After destroying the windshield the two of them beat a hasty retreat celebrating their destruction of Kevin’s car. The Officials tried to keep the Von Erichs from following them, but in the end all the Von Erichs could do is look at the damage done to Kevin’s car.

All through the summer the Dynamic Duo would do what ever they could to cause trouble for the Von Erichs. They attacked Mike causing him to injury his shoulder, requiring surgery.

In the late summer the feud took on a new twist. Gino and Chris would show up with a pair of golden scissors and would cut a lock or two of hair from their opponents. Soon their intentions were clear. The Dynamic Duo had won a match, which gave them the right to name the stipulations for the next match against the Von Erichs. They challenged Kevin and Kerry to a Hair Vs Hair tag team match. The winners would shave the heads of the losers in the middle of the ring. The Match was to be held at the Cotton bowl. Excitement for the match grew as each team promised victory. The fans at the Cotton bowl that day got two surprises the first was the appearance of Mike Von Erich who had nearly died from a deadly infection. And the second was the appearance of a cousin Lance Von Erich. To insure that the losers wouldn’t run off the ring was surrounded by wrestlers. Their only job was to make sure that the losers would remain in the ring. As the announcer, Marc Lawrence announced the contestants and gave the stipulations of the match. The Von Erichs stood there confident. While the Dynamic Duo stood there defiantly, shouting how they would enjoy shaving the heads of the Von Erichs. A problem arose when the referee that the Dynamic Duo had pick to referee the contest was replaced by one of the official World-Class referees. The Dynamic Dou tried everything to win, even to go as far to throw powder into the face of Kerry Von Erich. But in the end the Von Erichs won and they were set to get their revenge. Chris Adams was the first to sit in the Von Erich barber chair. As the other wrestlers held Chris down, Kevin and Kerry went to work with the clippers. After Kevin and Kerry took their turns shaving Chris’s head, they handed the clippers to a few of their friends who had their hair cut by the Dynamic Duo. As soon as they were done, Chris grabbed a sweater from a ringside fan and ran to the back. Then it became Gino’s turn. Gino screamed and fought with the wrestlers who were dragging him to the chair. Suddenly he broke free and slipped out of the ring, trying to escape, when he was tackled by the youngest Von Erich-Chris. Who was at ringside, to see his older brothers wrestle. Whereas Chris’s head was only partly shaved the Von Erichs and their friends took pleasure in making sure that every lock of Gino’s hair was left on the ring.

Soon after that Gino and Chris started coming to the ring in identical outfits. Even down to the masks that they wore to cover their shaved heads. And they used it to their advantage. Loading the mask to knock out their opponents. Switching places with each other to insure their wins over their opponents. The Von Erichs having been on the losing side of the Dynamic Duo tactics vowed to the fans that every time that they were in the ring with the Dynamic Duo. They would unmask them. And every time they went against them the Von Erichs tried their best to unmask them.

By the end of the year Chris and Gino’s hair had grown out enough so that they didn’t have to wear the masks anymore. But they wanted to get some revenge on the Von Erichs. And they knew the one way to get back at them. And that was to deny the Von Erichs a shot at the tag team titles that they held. But then they were offered a match against a team called the Cosmic Cowboys. They took it knowing that it was a chance to deny the Von Erichs a title shot. The night of the match came and Gino and Chris stood in the ring waiting for the mysterious Cosmic Cowboys. Their rage was apparent when the sound of a familiar opponent’s music blasted over the speakers. It grew as they saw their opponents come down the walkway. Even the masks that they wore couldn’t hide who they were. It became more apparent when Cosmic Cowboy One adjusted his cowboy hat and his mask came off to reveal Kevin Von Erich. He hopped onto the apron of the ring and threw down the mask and raised his hat to the cheering crowd. Cosmic Cowboy Two, wearing a baseball cap and chaps climbed onto the ring apron and slowly removed his mask and slowly shook out his long hair. Kerry smiled as he fixed his hair and removed his chaps and cowboy boots. Gino and Chris raged as the announcer even referred to them as Cosmic Cowboy One and Two. The match went back and forth with both sides getting the upper hand and then it happened. Chris went over to his corner and held out his hand to tag in Gino. And Gino refused to take the tag, faking an injured knee. Chris enraged at his partner ended the match by getting them disqualified. Thus keeping the titles. Gino, his leg suddenly healed ran to the ringside table and grabbed the belts. He slapped Chris on the shoulder and tried to hand his belt to him. Chris stood there, he couldn’t believe that Gino had faked an injury. While the Von Erichs watched, Chris raged at him for not taking the tag and then in a fit of rage super kicked Gino and left him in the ring. After that match it became apparent that there was problems. Gino would tell everyone that Chris had apologized and that everything was OK between them. But when confronted by Chris, Gino tried to blame the announcer. After that they started to interfere in each other’s matches. Soon it became apparent that the only way to solve the problem was to have a match between the two of them. Gino demanded a hair match, using the famed Freebird hair cream. The match was set. The fans were cheering, but the match ended tragically when Gino opened the jar and threw the contents into the face of Chris Adams, As Chris screamed in pain, his former partner left the ring. Ending the Von Erich/ Hernandez, Adams feud.

Epilogue

Chris Adams would be blinded (KAYFABE ALERT!) by the chemicals in the cream and it would take a few months to get his sight back. Gino Hernandez would die a few weeks later. During his recovery, Chris Adams would reevaluate his life and make some decisions on his career. He would return to the ring a changed man. He once more became the Chris Adams that the fans had loved. And the circle closed when in a six-man match, he was teamed with Kevin and Lance Von Erich he saved Kevin from the One Man Gang and helped him get the pin. The feud between Kevin and Chris ended when Kevin held out his hand and Chris shook it.
