PNW #19 Page #2

1.  Rose and Ventura turn on Ramos.  I am not completely sure, where this happened, I want to say during a six man tag match in Seattle, but Rose and Ventura doubleteamed the big man and completely wore him out, instantly turning Ramos into a face.  Now, one may say, 'no big deal, booking 101.'

But Ramos was, a legendary, heat seeker in the PNW, and was as hated as anyone I can remember. Great angle which was redone many times, with Buddy almost always being the one who sold out a partner.

2. Rose's Army versus Roddy Piper and Rick Martel. This incarnation of the army consisted of Rose, and the Kiwi Sheepherders, Butch Miller and Luke Williams, and this feud was maybe the most over feud that I remember.

There were battles over the tag belts, singles belts and hair. By the time Piper got done all of the army was bald and Rose was wearing a hood, with a blonde wig stitched into it. The feud ended when Martel left, Rose turned on the Sheepherders and Buddy beat Piper in a loser leaves town match.

3.Rose versus Doctor D. A top notch heel versus heel feud, bloody, violent and entertaining. This included one of my favorite Rose promos ever. In the promo he claimed Schultz had not busted him open, he cut his forehead shaving, I will quote it the best I remember, "I'm a very mature man, I matured early and my eyebrows grow together, like Brooke Shields and I was shaving them, the girl I was with made a lunge at me and I cut my forehead."

I don't recall how this feud ended, Schultz my have just left, it was short, it was intense and the fact i can still remember it so well twenty years later tells me it was a classic.

4. Rose marries into the Borne Family: Rose was involved in a tight, hostile feud with Matt Borne and his dad Tough Tony. So one night Buddy shows up with Toni Rae Borne and they are now married. They both say that this will not change anything, that she can love both of them but when they get in the ring it will still be an all out war. Hilarious stuff as Rose invites announcer Frank Bonnema, sponsor Tom Peterson, and says promoter Don Owen owed it to Rose to come to his reception.
