WHAT WAS YOUR OPINION OF DON OWEN AND HOW DID HE TREAT YOU?

I cannot say enough about Don Owen.  I would have given him the shirt off my back if he would have needed it.  To say that he simply took good care of me would be an understatement.  He was a wonderfully good and generous man who had my utmost respect.

BY 1984, YOU WERE IN THE MIDSOUTH AREA.  TALK A LITTLE ABOUT WORKING THERE IN A TERRITORY THAT HAD SO MANY TALENTED WRESTLERS AND YOUR MEMORIES

You are certainly correct about MidSouth having an overabundance of talent.  While I was there, it was the Mecca of wrestling as far as talent was concerned.  Let's see, there was Ted DiBiase, the late Dick Murdock, Steve "Dr. Death" Williams, Tim Horner, Leaping Lanny Poffo, George Weingroft, Ernie Ladd, Rip Rogers, One Man Gang, Carl Fergie, Barry Darsow, Nikolai Volkoff, Butch Reed, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, The Rock and Roll Express (Robert Gibson and Bobby Fulton), the late Junkyard Dog, Buck Robley, Terry Taylor, and The Midnight Express (Dennis Condry and Bobby Eaton)  with, of course, their manager, Jim Cornett.  Oftentimes, The Grappler (Len Denton), The Freebirds (Michael Hayes, Buddy Robert and the late Terry Gordy) would come in for short periods of time for special Superdome Shows held in New Orleans.  I made many special and lasting good friends during my time there.
