SWCW #2 Page #2

SWCW would soon hold an 8-man tournament on May 26,1983 in Houston, Tx. to crown an undisputed world heavyweight champion. Adrian Adonis defeated Bob Orton Jr. in the finals to become the first titleholder and would hold on the belt until August 30th losing the belt to Scott Casey in St. Louis,MO.  Unfortunately the title wasn't accepted by the wrestling community and was abandoned in September, 1983. Casey would soon win the heavyweight title from Tully Blanchard who defeated Sweetan for the eighth & final time of his career on June 13,1983. Casey would keep the title until February 27,1984 losing it to "Killer" Tim Brooks in San Antonio.  "Hangman" Bobby Jaggers would defeat Brooks for the title in June,1984 but lose it back a month later. Kevin Sullivan would win the title on December 9, 1984 for the first & sadly only time of his career as the title would be abandoned a little more than 5 months later in April,1985 when the promotion is sold to Texas All-Star Wrestling. A dynasty would
come to a close but a new one would soon follow.
