Mid-South #20 Page #2

Mike George: Last I’d heard Mike worked in security at the Woodlands racetrack in Kansas City.

Luke Graham: Crazy Luke lives in Arkansas where he and his son Luke Jr. run the fledgling Galaxy Wrestling Federation.

Chavo and Hector Guerrero: Although both have pretty much retired, their younger brother Eddie and Chavo’s son Chavo Jr. carry on the family tradition.  Hector dons the tights from time to time.

Michael Hayes: Michael continues to work as a booker, road agent, and announcer for the WWF.

The Iron Sheik: The Iron Sheik is still wrestling on the indy circuit.

Tim Horner: White Lightning Tim Horner still wrestles and promotes indy cards in Tennessee.

Kamala: Rick Harris now lives in Mississippi and is a car dealer, but still puts on the war paint for the occasional match.

Krusher Khrushchev: Barry Darsow still wrestles from time to time and is involved with a screen-printing business.

Karl Kox: Killer Karl now works as a prison corrections officer, if I remember correctly.

Ernie Ladd: The Big Cat now is an executive in a Louisiana based petroleum and chemical firm. He also speaks to groups of prison inmates about finding a better future. A longtime friend and confidante of the Bush family, Ladd had a seat of honor at the inaugurations of both George Bush and George W Bush.

Buddy Landel: Buddy preaches Christianity and still wrestles on independent cards in the South.

Magnum TA: Terry Allen is in private business in Virginia and still appears as a special attraction and babyface second at cards in the old Mid-Atlantic area.

Dutch Mantell: Dirty Dutch now works in Puerto Rico for the IWA. That promotion is currently enjoying the best run of business in company history.

Shawn Michaels: Shawn went on to have a legendary career in the WWF and remains in that promotion’s employ.

Adrian Street: The exotic one is battling cancer, but is hanging in there.

Masked Superstar: Bill Eadie, the man who once wrestled as Ax of Demolition, still competes on the indy circuit as both Ax and The Superstar.

The Midnight Express: Jim Cornette helps run Ohio Valley Wrestling, training WWF developmental talent. Bobby Eaton wrestles on the indy scene and also trains young wrestlers. Dennis Condrey has dropped from sight.

Missing Link: Dewey Robertson, the man behind the green paint, now lives in his native Ontario.

One Man Gang: OMG still wrestles on independent cards and was in the gimmick battle royal at Wrestlemania X-7 last year.

Mr. Olympia: The man behind the mask, Jerry Stubbs, now works in law enforcement.

Paul Orndorff: Mr. Wonderful was one of the top trainers at the now defunct WCW Power Plant. At one time Paul owned an Atlanta area bowling alley and some other businesses. I’m unsure if he still owns those businesses.

Bob Orton Jr.: Bob lives in Missouri and is a car salesman.

Nick Patrick: Nick is a referee for the WWF.

Dr. Tom Prichard: Dr. Tom works for the WWF as a broadcaster and trainer of young talent. His brother Bruce Prichard is also with the WWF as a booker.

Butch Reed: Hacksaw Butch Reed lives in Missouri and still wrestles from time to time and also competes in rodeo.

Dusty Rhodes: The American Dream now runs Turnbuckle Championship Wrestling, both wrestling and training student wrestlers.

Buddy Roberts: Buddy has suffered from throat cancer in recent years, but continues to fight on. He currently resides in Chicago.

Jake Roberts: Jake the Snake today lives in the United Kingdom where he wrestles and trains aspiring wrestlers.

The Rock n Roll Express: Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson continue to wrestle on the independent circuit, both as a team and separately.

Bob Roop: Bob Roop now works for Pepsi in Florida.

Pat Rose: Pat is preparing to compete in professional bass fishing events and is a columnist in the Story Time section of Kayfabe Memories.

Jim Ross: JR is the WWF’s #1 play-by-man. Ross also serves as the WWF’s Senior Vice President of Talent Relations and Development.

Terry Taylor: Terry was a front office man for WCW until the promotion’s demise. Taylor now wrestles on the indies and has done some backstage work for WWA.

Nikolai Volkoff: Last I heard Nikolai worked as a building inspector for the city of Baltimore. I’m unsure if it is still the case. Nor am I 100% positive that it ever was in the first place. Volkoff did appear last year at Wrestlemania in the gimmick battle royal.

Cowboy Bill Watts: Bill Watts now makes his money in pharmaceuticals and also has extensive real estate holdings.

Steve Williams: Of all the Mid-South stars Dr. Death’s career is the one that remains at a major league level. Williams is still a major star with All Japan Pro Wrestling for whom he has competed on a regular basis over much of the past decade. Williams teams frequently with Mike Rotundo.

Mr. Wrestling II: The masked man is now retired and living in Hawaii.
