The feud between Bockwinkel and Zbyszko was an entertaining one. Both men could cut great promos, wrestle and work the crowd. The AWA replayed Zbyszko hitting Bockwinkel in the head with the numchucks week after week on television giving fans a reason to see Nick get revenge against Larry. The feud with Bockwinkel also established Zbyszko as a major player in the AWA elevating Larry up the card and elevating him in the eyes of the fans.
